Do you have a habit you really want to change? Maybe it’s eating too much chocolate, or biting your nails or cracking your knuckles. Or something which could damage your health, like drinking too much or smoking. Or a 21st century bad habit like spending too much time on social media or playing computer games.
You’ve probably tried, and failed, to break this habit several times. Perhaps you feel weak and useless because it seems to be controlling you, adversely affecting your appearance or your health, or taking up time you could be using to do something more useful.
There’s really no need for you to feel bad. Habits are sneaky – they creep up on you, worming their way into your life until they seem like part of your very being. It feels like they’ve been there forever, they’re just what you do.
But it doesn’t have to be like that. With the aid of hypnotherapy, you can quickly and easily break free of the habits you want to be rid of.
In a hypnotherapy session, I’ll start by looking at your unwanted habit and why you want to give it up. This may seem obvious, but we all have our own personal reasons for wanting to change behaviours, and knowing yours makes it much easier for me to help you.
Then I’ll ask you to think about what benefit you get from the habit. Maybe it’s a feeling of comfort, relief of boredom or just something to do when you’re nervous. Most people can, if they think about it, recognise the reason for habitual behaviour, but don’t worry if you can’t. We can look at the situations which bring on the behaviour instead.
Finally, after putting you into a relaxing hypnotic state, I’ll use the information you’ve given me to equip you with the tools you need to change that habit for good.
